MFiX Construction Adhesive – The Solution for Fast and Durable Bonds

MFiX Construction Adhesive is a versatile, professional adhesive developed specifically for a wide range of construction and finishing works. Its synthetic rubber base, dissolved in organic solvents, guarantees a fast and durable bond, providing outstanding performance on most typical construction materials. Its color is uniformly beige, and it is available in 280 ml cartridges, 12 pieces per carton.

Key Product Features and Benefits

When designing MFiX Construction Adhesive, the most important considerations were reliability and durability. The product's most important features include fast and durable initial adhesion, which provides immediate stability for the bonded elements. In addition, it has a flexible bond, which allows for the absorption of thermal expansion and minor movements of the bonded materials.

The adhesive achieves high final strength after full curing (which takes approximately 72 hours), and also has excellent adhesion and is moisture resistant. The open time, during which surfaces can be joined, is 10–15 minutes. Its temperature resistance in the cured state is between −20 ∘C and +60 ∘C.

Wide Range of Applications

The adhesive is excellently suited for fastening a wide variety of building materials to most typical surfaces, including:

• concrete, plaster, brick, particle board, wood, and plasterboard surfaces.
• bonding skirting boards, baseboards, thresholds, floor tiles, and ceramic tiles.
• fastening decorative elements made of wood, gypsum, cork, metal, stone, foamed polystyrene.
• bonding mineral wool and glass wool.
• fastening carpets and PVC floor coverings.
• Also suitable for bonding most plexiglass types.

Application Instructions

The optimal bonding temperature is between +15 ∘C and +20 ∘C, and the application temperature ranges from +10 ∘C to +30 ∘C. The optimal relative humidity is 60%.

1. Surface Preparation: The surfaces to be bonded must be dry, level, and free of adhesion-inhibiting substances (dirt, grease).
2. Adhesive Application: Apply the adhesive in spots or strips to the surface or the material to be bonded.
3. Joining and Fixing: Immediately join the surfaces with a slight twisting motion, then separate them. Wait 3–5 minutes, then press them together firmly and evenly again. After this, the position can be corrected for 2-3 minutes without separating them.

Limitations and Cleaning

The adhesive is not recommended for PE, PP, Teflon, or permanently wet surfaces. It is not recommended for thin polystyrene elements, as the adhesive may slightly disturb the surface during curing. When bonding polystyrene, the adhesive should be applied sparingly, at long intervals, in thin strips, ensuring pressure and ventilation. Avoid contact with water until the adhesive is fully cured.

Before curing, the adhesive can be cleaned with acetone or white spirit; after curing, it can only be removed mechanically.

Coverage and Storage

The product's coverage is 300–500 g/m². The adhesive is flammable. Storage is guaranteed for 24 months from the manufacturing date if stored in unopened packaging at a temperature between +5 ∘C and +25 ∘C in a dry place, protected from frost. All work must be carried out in a well-ventilated area, away from ignition sources.
